Driver Portal Now Available as a Mobile PWA

By Marc Giles · Apr 10, 2026

Drivers can install the Easyfleet Driver Portal as an app-like experience on iOS and Android without an app-store download.

What's a PWA and Why Does It Matter?

A Progressive Web App (PWA) is a website that behaves like a native mobile app. It can be added to a phone's home screen, works offline, receives push notifications, and loads instantly — without going through the App Store or Google Play.

For fleet operators, this means you can deploy the Driver Portal to your entire team today, without waiting for app store approvals, without requiring drivers to find and download anything, and without managing app versions across devices.

What Drivers Get

When drivers visit the Easyfleet Driver Portal on their phone, they can install it to their home screen as a standalone app with the Easyfleet icon.

Inside the installed app, drivers have access to:

Easyfleet does not provide ELD or Hours of Service logging, GPS hardware, native location or trip tracking, routing, dispatch, or driver monitoring. Regulated carriers should use an appropriate certified system for ELD/HOS requirements.

Offline Capabilities

The Driver Portal is designed for field use and keeps its mobile workflow focused on assigned assets, fleet-defined forms, service requests, documents, and notifications.

How to Enable It for Your Fleet

No configuration required on your end. The PWA is enabled by default for all Driver Portal accounts. Share the portal link with your drivers and they'll be prompted to install automatically.

For drivers on iOS, the install prompt appears via the Share menu → "Add to Home Screen." On Android, the browser presents an automatic install banner.
