Frequently asked questions

What is a driver portal in fleet operations?

A driver portal is a mobile-accessible workspace for assigned assets, inspection forms, service requests, documents, and workflow notifications. Easyfleet's driver portal is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that works on any smartphone without requiring an app store download.

What is a Progressive Web App (PWA) for fleet drivers?

A PWA is a web application that can be installed on a smartphone's home screen and works with limited or no internet connectivity — just like a native app. Easyfleet's driver portal PWA allows drivers to complete pre-trip inspections offline, with data syncing automatically when connectivity is restored. Drivers install it from their mobile browser — no app store account required.

Does Easyfleet provide ELD or Hours of Service logging?

No. Easyfleet does not provide ELD or Hours of Service logging. Regulated carriers should use an appropriate certified system for those requirements.

Does the Easyfleet driver portal track driver location?

No. Easyfleet does not position the driver portal as a native GPS, route-tracking, dispatch, or driver-monitoring product. Fleet customers may separately connect supported third-party telematics providers for provider-supplied vehicle data.

Can drivers submit pre-trip inspection reports?

Yes. The driver portal includes a digital pre-trip inspection checklist. Drivers complete the inspection on their phone — checking brakes, lights, tires, fluid levels, and other required items — and submit the completed checklist to the fleet record. All submissions are timestamped and linked to the driver's ID and vehicle assignment.

How do notifications work for drivers?

Drivers can receive workflow notifications about assignments, inspections, service requests, documents, and other fleet operations activity.

Can drivers report maintenance issues?

Yes. Drivers can submit inspection results and service requests so fleet teams can turn reported issues into traceable maintenance workflows.
